Texts in Translation


A translator uses language as a way to translate works at high levels to be interpreted through many lenses and cultures from different countries. It expresses that translation of literary works is important in order to illustrate a country's culture to the public. This allows for an honest insight into a society that goes beyond what the world assumes its like. In the text titled "found in translation", it talks about how translation brings people and cultures closer together, meaning its conveying a positive insight into the essence of translating novels into different languages.

The author of the text is also aware of how the exchange of ideas is essential for a comprehensive outlook on a culture. Translation assures that all literature works gets necessary global attention. Additionally, translation, enables those who are indifferent or uninformed to develop insight into matters that can’t really be covered on the news. Language in general is very powerful. it empowers people to explore and change themselves within different cultures, and this is what the author is trying to get across to the reader in this article regarding translation.

Complication on Learning A Second Language and how it Shaped my Identity Looking back over all the years that have passed, I can say that I have been challenged throughout my life. Question 1:  How could the text be read and interpreted differently by two different readers?   When reading the article "for women under 30, most Births Occur Outside of Marriage", I was able to easily spot two different interpretations to the article, which these interpretations depend on the readers ideologies when reading the article.  If the article was locked from a feminist ideology and the reader interpreted the text accordingly the purpose of the text would be to demonstrate how woman are working continuous hours to provide a suitable life for their child, thus are capable of taking care of children at such a young age without having the power of men over them.
